Sparrow & Fairchild, Attorneys at Law was founded on the principles of integrity, trust, and hard work. Attorney Jimmie Sparrow, III has strong ties to the North Central Florida community, as he has lived here for most of his life. He was inspired to attend law school while working as a police officer and detective in Marion County, Florida. He witnessed the need for advocacy and aggressive legal representation for those that encountered the judicial system. He also saw that family law and criminal defense are closely intertwined, as a domestic offense can escalate to a criminal misdemeanor or felony conviction.
While working as a police officer, Jimmie Sparrow earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. After leaving the police department, he relocated to Virginia, where he attended the Appalachian School of Law. While in law school and for one year after graduation, Jimmie Sparrow worked for the Buchanan County State Attorney’s office and prosecuted numerous bench and jury trials. Upon returning to Florida, he accepted a position as a prosecutor at the Fifth Circuit State Attorney’s Office.
In addition to handling traditional criminal investigations and prosecution, Jimmie Sparrow was assigned to investigate law enforcement officers’ actions to ensure they followed the law. He participated in internal affairs investigations, grand jury proceedings, and criminal prosecutions of law enforcement. As a result of his experiences as a law enforcement officer and prosecutor, Attorney Jimmie Sparrow has independently handled countless investigations and cases.
In 2016, Attorney Jimmie Sparrow founded Sparrow Law Office, P.A., as a sole practitioner. His philosophy is to provide high-quality legal representation with integrity. He diligently protects each of his clients’ constitutional and other rights in State and Federal Courts, and he assists them with navigating the complex civil and criminal justice system. Attorney Jimmie Sparrow is committed to personalized service and believes in educating his clients about the law process, which enables them to make informed decisions with a positive impact on their future. In 2024, the practice was expanded and became Sparrow & Fairchild, Attorneys at Law.
